Delta Goodrem has opened up about her relationship with her longtime boyfriend Matthew Copley following their engagement.
The 38-year-old singer told 9Honey on Saturday, she feels ‘thankful and lucky’ she can work and travel with her beau.
‘I’m extremely thankful and lucky that my partner and I get to travel together,’ Delta said.
‘We are both on tour right now, and it is extraordinary to be on stage and also be travelling all around Europe and the UK together.’
Delta continued: ‘We are so grateful to get to see all these wonderful people coming to the shows.’

Delta announced her engagement to her boyfriend Matthew on Thursday after he proposed to her in Malta.
The singer shared a loved-up photo of the couple on holiday before showing off her stunning diamond ring.
‘My best friend asked me to marry him,’ Delta giddily captioned the image, alongside a ring emoji.

Her announcement was soon inundated with well wishers.
‘Congratulations beautiful souls. Soooo happy for you. Xxxxxxx so much love,’ wrote Lisa Origliasso from The Veronicas.
‘Congratulations sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️,’ added Home and Away’s Georgie Parker.
‘Congratulations!’ wrote singer pop icon Belinda Carlisle.
Julie Bishop, former Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, also joined the chorus, along with The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies, broadcaster Lisa Wilkinson and Love Island Australia host Sophie Monk.
Delta has dated her fair share of famous faces including Nick Jonas, Brian McFadden and tennis great Mark Philippoussis.
But a lot less is known about the singer’s current boyfriend Matthew Copley.

In 2018, she told InStyle Australia she’d made a ‘conscious decision’ to keep her love life private moving forward.
‘I made a [choice] that I’m not even going to comment “yes” or “no” … I’ve said nothing for three or four years,’ she stated.
As a result, Delta and Matt never appear on the red carpet together and the Born to Try hitmaker rarely goes into specifics about her relationship in interviews.
She finally broke her silence in February of this year in Australian Women’s Weekly, confessing, ‘He’s my guitarist, I met him through music’.
‘It’s incredible to be on stage with him because he’s so talented. We really are a team. He’s my best friend, he’s kind and a beautiful human being,’ she continued.
‘I’m very lucky. It’s all very natural and I think that comes from a beautiful respect and love. I feel so grateful.’

Despite her comments, Delta insisted that she didn’t want to share any further details about her man.
‘I learnt quite young that I enjoy keeping part of that private. I’ve always been so understanding that I’ve lived in the public eye since I was a teenager but also I think it’s nice to keep some things to yourself.’
While Matthew is best known for working as his girlfriend’s guitarist, he’s also worked with some other big names in the industry, including Conrad Sewell.
The couple have even gone into business together with their own independent record label called ATLED Records (ATLED is Delta spelled backwards).
