Linda Evangelista, 58, was the star of the show on Thursday as she joined Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington on stage at the swanky Vogue World bash in London.

The 90s supermodels, who recently caused controversy with their very airbrushed cover of the glossy magazine, looked sensational and were greeted with wild applause from the Theatre Royal Drury Lane audience.

An emotional Linda, whose confidence was dented after botched surgery, looked visibly touched by the warm reception after revealing earlier this month she was diagnosed with breast cancer and quietly underwent a double mastectomy five years ago.

All four were dressed to the nines as they walked out into the spotlight holding hands as part of the evening’s entertainment, which also included a monologue by actress Sophie Okonedo, 55, and performance by rapper Stormzy, 30.

The supermodel wore her brunette tresses in a slicked-back up-do and accessorised with silver earrings.

Finishing her look, she stunned in a flawless palette of makeup including shimmery silver eyeshadow.

It was a huge moment for Linda who quietly underwent a double mastectomy five years ago.

Evangelista’s first brush with cancer was detected during her yearly mammogram.

In an interview with WSJ Magazine this month, the supermodel spoke out about her December 2018 diagnosis that led to her having a bilateral mastectomy before she found another lump in her chest last year.

‘The margins were not good, and due to other health factors, without hesitation, because I wanted to put everything behind me and not to have to deal with this, I opted for a bilateral mastectomy…’

‘Thinking I was good and set for life. Breast cancer was not going to kill me,’ she said. But unfortunately she had another cancer scare in July last year after discovering a lump in her chest. The supermodel recalled that her oncologist was ‘unimpressed,’ but she went ahead with an MRI.

What was found during the MRI prompted her doctor to do a biopsy, it turned out she had cancer in her pectoral muscle.

At the time, Evangelista said she told her doctor, ‘Dig a hole in my chest. I don’t want it to look pretty. I want you to excavate. I want to see a hole in my chest when you’re done. Do you understand me? I’m not dying from this.’

Since then she was told by doctors that her prognosis was good, which led her to question why it wasn’t ‘great’ and being informed: ‘Well, once it’s come back, there’s a chance.’

Evangelista said she had ‘a horrible oncotype score,’ which is a number that predicts the likelihood of the cancer coming back. ‘I know I have one foot in the grave, but I’m totally in celebration mode,’ she added.

The supermodel said ‘only a handful of people knew’ about her cancer ordeal. It’s unclear if she had a breast reconstruction after her bilateral mastectomy.

The health battle comes two years after the 90s fashion icon spoke out about a botched, CoolSculpting procedure that she underwent from 2015 through 2016 which left her ‘brutally disfigured.’

At the time, she took to her main Instagram page and penned an emotional statement to give an explanation as to why she hadn’t been in the public and admitted she had entered a ‘deep depression.’

‘Today I took a big step towards righting a wrong that I have suffered and have kept to myself for over five years,’ she began.

‘To my followers who have wondered why I have not been working while my peers’ careers have been thriving, the reason is that I was brutally disfigured by Zeltiq’s CoolSculpting procedure which did the opposite of what it promised.’

Linda candidly revealed, ‘It increased, not decreased, my fat cells and left me permanently deformed even after undergoing two painful, unsuccessful corrective surgeries. I have been left, as the media described, “unrecognizable.”‘

‘I have developed Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia or PAH, a risk of which I was not made aware before I had the procedures.’

She emotionally added, ‘PAH has not only destroyed my livelihood, it has sent me into a cycle of deep depression, profound sadness, and the lowest depths of self-loathing. In the process, I have become a recluse.’

‘With this lawsuit, I am moving forward to rid myself of my shame, and going public with my story. I’m so tired of living this way. I would like to walk out my door with my held held high, despite not looking like myself any longer.’

In 2022, the supermodel settled the $50 million lawsuit against Zeltiq Aesthetics – although the settlement amount was not disclosed.

Last month in August, Evangelista told Vogue that she still gets Botox following the botched procedure. ‘I don’t mind and I never did mind ageing. Ageing gets us to where we want to be, and that’s for me a long life,’ she stated.

The star – who shares son Augustin James, 16, with Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault –  explained, ‘I want wrinkles – but I Botox my forehead so I am a hypocrite – but I want to grow old.’
