Mrs. Rooney claimed fraudulent tales were circulated to the press after only being viewed on Mrs. Vardy’s Instagram in 2019, sparking the “Wagatha Christie” controversy.
Mrs. Vardy disputes the allegations and has filed a libel suit against Mrs. Rooney. And it’s what’s in those texts that are currently being debated in court.
Mrs. Vardy’s WhatsApp chats with her publicist and friend Caroline Watt were revealed ahead of the trial, the High Court heard on Tuesday.

She stated that Jamie Vardy’s wife, Rebekah, was the only one who saw these posts. Rebekah defended herself and demanded confirmation that she was the only one who had seen the posts.
Sherborne claims there are private WhatsApp discussions between Ms. Vardy and Caroline Watt, according to the Independent newspaper, in which Ms. Watt says, “It wasn’t someone she trusted.” It was me”.

Although the falsified stories were picked up, Rebekah denied any involvement. Coleen’s agents were contacted before each story was published by The Sun, and they declined to comment each time.
Beyond playing for the England squad, Wayne and Jamie are claimed to have had a friendship. Any rumors of a feud were put to rest when manager Roy Hodgson interfered in a question regarding Ms. Vardy made to Rooney.
