ROYAL EXPERT Russell Myers claimed “tensions are still running high” between brothers Prince Harry and Prince William amid rumours they could reunite over Christmas.
Royal family fans are hoping the brothers will come together to celebrate at Christmas as the Queen spends the festive period without Prince Phillip for the first time since his death earlier this year. However, royal expert Russell has warned it may not happen as the pair still need to work out a lot of their issues which stemmed from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“Is this the start of a cooling of relations between the two boys?” Russell asked.
“I’m sure a lot of people in the family would hope so, however there’s still a lot of water to come under that bridge I think.
“Tensions are still running high. That Oprah Winfrey interview is still ingrained in the memory.
“Now there’s a lot of distance between the two both metaphorically and physically.”

Christine Lampard commented: “Well you see the physical distance, it is an issue isn’t it?”
“But it might be a good thing, the sort of cooling of relations and will Harry come back over Christmas?” Russell replied.
“I think this is quite an interesting point because I’m sure the Queen will want everyone around her.
“This has been an issue because the courtiers, the people at the palace are saying, ‘Slow down Ma’am.’

“She’s had a lot of lunches, a lot of dinners in the diary, doesn’t want to be alone because obviously she’s lost Prince Phillip.
“She will probably want the rest of the family to get together over Christmas and we could see these two sitting around the table once more.
“It would be a really good thing for the family.”
Russell went on to explain Harry and Meghan wouldn’t be considering a return to the UK if the Queen hadn’t had a short stay in hospital.
Christine asked: “Do we think Harry might pop back just to check in on his grandmother?”
“Well, maybe. That’s a good point actually,” Russell agreed.
“I don’t think we would have seen them. They’ve just moved to California, it’s going to be their first Christmas over there.
“However, this does slightly change things and will Harry want to get on a plane?
“Obviously, there was no Sandringham Christmas last year, the Queen was alone at Windsor Castle with Phillip.
“So, you know, anything can happen and I think they might just change their mind on this occasion.”
If the couple did return to the UK it would mark the first time daughter Lilibet has been in the UK and the first time son Archie has celebrated with his extended family.
