After shooting his daughter and her co-worker, cameraman Adam Ward; over the years, he worked tirelessly urging the social media companies to restrict the shooting video.

Virginia congressional seat candidate Andy Parker’s daughter Alison Parker was shot dead on live TV, which also took the life of the cameraman, Adam Ward.
Alison was the employee of the CBS affiliate WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia. On August 26th, 2015, a former employee of WDBJ, Vester Lee Flanagan, was the one who shot her and the camera to death. She was taking the interview of Vicki Gardner, then-executive director of the local chamber of commerce, who was also injured in the incident.

She was 24 at the time of death, born on August 19, 1991. Parker started working at WDBJ7 as an intern, and in 2014, was promoted to a correspondent for the moring show. The job made her a target and took her life.

In the video, Vester, the reporter turned murderer, can be heard calling Alison b****, before fatally shooting her, and then, Adam, the cameraman. He also turned the gun towards Vicki, who was giving an interview at the time.
The shooting video was widely shared over the internet back then.
Flanagan was a former employee who was fired for his volatile behaviors back on February 1, 2013. After an hour-long car chase by police, at last, he shot himself to death.
