RIP: How Did Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef Die? Founder Of DiscoverU And AlMaghrib Passed Away

Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef is the founder of DiscoverU and AlMaghrib who passed away on July 21, 2022. He is a Muslim speaker and educator, who has published writings and given lectures on several Islamic issues, most notably the Muslim community in the West.

He was well-known in Muslim communities in the United States, Canada, England, and Australia.

Alshareef was born in 1975 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Islamic parents who read the Quran to him as a child. It sparked his interest and led to his memorizing the Quran and graduating from Madinah’s Islamic University in 1999 after six years of study.

Alshareef used to be a teacher, but now he spends most of his time running EmanRush Audio and AlMaghrib Institute.

He was a founding member of the Al-Maghrib Institute, where he presently teaches Islam lectures. Al-Maghrib Institute lectures have been presented in fourteen locations across the United States and Canada.

It is the most widespread Islamic university-level teaching system in North America. He also created Khutbah.com and EmanRush Audio, and he frequently participates with the AlMaghrib Forums’ online community.

He gave seminars and short courses to assist individuals to understand the Islamic faith and how to practice it properly, using his knowledge of the religion and talents as an educator.

Everyone who knew him saw him as a national leader and a virtuous man carrying out Allah’s mission of leading everyone to the correct path.

Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef, a well-known figure in the Islamic community in the United States, died unexpectedly on July 21, 2022. The news was announced on his social media page with the confirmation that illness was not the reason for his death.

The statement read, “We belong to Allah and will return to Him. Shaykh Muhammad was in good health and had no illnesses, yet life is not guaranteed.”

So today, we ask Allah to make us all a hujjah for him in the Akhirah, for everything he taught us to be counted in his scale of good deeds with him, and that Allah beautifies his reception, forgive him his sins, and enter him into Al-Firdaws.
