Becky Lynch paid tribute to Merton in an emotive social media post. She told him that he was among the first to hear of her potential WWE contract.
According to Lynch, Merton was always there for her and she would miss their time together.

At WWE Payback on Saturday night, Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus finally settled their dispute. Lynch defeated the WWE legend in the first Steel Cage match of the evening.
Stark used the Z360 to treat her instructor before leaving her in the ring. At the Night of Champions in May, Stark assisted Stratus in defeating Lynch. Following WWE Payback, The Man sent Stratus a straightforward message via Instagram.
