As reported by the Daily Mail, a Netflix insider acknowledged that the series has not achieved the “runaway success” they anticipated, and there are growing concerns about its reception, particularly given the substantial investment in Meghan’s brand, which is set to be showcased in Netflix’s upcoming physical stores.
In spite of the show’s disappointing performance, Meghan took to celebrating the fact that a second season was filmed concurrently with the first.
However, sources have indicated that this does not ensure the renewal of her Netflix contract, which remains in limbo. The choice to shoot both seasons together was a budget-friendly move that allowed for adjustments based on audience reactions, leaving the timeline for any contract extension uncertain.
