Isaiah Stokes, a 45-year-old actor known for his roles in shows like “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Blue Bloods,” and “Power,” has been found guilty of second-degree murder along with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
This conviction comes in connection with the shooting death of 37-year-old Tyrone Jones in New York City back in 2021. Stokes could be looking at a sentence between 25 years to life in prison, with his sentencing set for March 21.

The case started after an altercation at a birthday party in Queens in October 2020. Stokes was kicked out for behaving inappropriately towards some female guests, which led to a physical scuffle.
This incident ignited a four-month grudge against Jones, who was the one that had thrown Stokes out. On January 29, 2021, Stokes went so far as to attach a GPS tracker to Jones’ car, which he then used to find Jones on February 7, 2021.

On that day, Stokes approached Jones as he waited in his car outside a restaurant and fired 11 shots, hitting him in the head and chest. Unfortunately, Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. The entire event was recorded by surveillance cameras, which played a key role in the prosecution’s case.
Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz described the murder as “calculated,” emphasizing that Stokes acted out of a desire for revenge after being thrown out of the party. Stokes has had quite the acting career with appearances in various well-known TV series, and he also pursues music under the name I$AIAH.
