Savannah Chrisley recently revealed her attempts to get her brother, Chase Chrisley, into rehab before his January 2025 arrest.
This family struggle is documented in their new reality series, The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, highlighting Chase’s drinking issues and the strained sibling relationship.
Savannah Chrisley’s Rehab Efforts for Chase
Savannah Chrisley took proactive steps to address her brother Chase’s drinking problems. She arranged for him to enter a treatment facility, handling all logistics, including purchasing a plane ticket and completing the intake process. However, Chase rejected her efforts harshly.
Savannah stated:
“I have tried to help him before he got arrested. I had set up for him to go to a treatment facility. I had already bought him a plane ticket, we had already gone through the whole intake process, and then he told me to ‘Go f***’ myself.”
This rejection underscored the deepening rift between the siblings.
Chase Chrisley’s Denial and Arrest
Chase Chrisley denied needing rehabilitation, claiming his drinking was not a daily issue but rather something he engaged in socially. His arrest in January 2025 following a bar fight forced the family to confront his behavior. Chase admitted to being heavily intoxicated during the incident and not remembering much.
Chase explained:
“I don’t think I’ve needed it. I mean, like, I’m not the type to, like, drink every day and wake up wanting a drink or craving a drink, or anything like that. Just like, whenever I go, I go.”
Despite his arrest, he claimed the event made him hit “rock bottom.”
Family Concerns and Reactions
Todd and Julie Chrisley expressed deep concern over their son’s behavior. Julie described the situation as heartbreaking, while Todd noted he had warned Chase for years about the dangers of drinking.
Julie shared:
“[It is] the worst possible thing as a parent that you can think of is the thought that he is conducting himself in a way that is just leading to down a bad path.”
Todd added:
“I don’t know that I was shocked, because I had been warning Chase for years to stop with the drinking. There was nothing in a bar that was going to bring you no good fortune.”
Their comments reflect the worry and frustration felt by the entire family.
Current Status and Skepticism
Chase claims he has since stopped drinking and started an alcohol-free seltzer brand called Gold Drop to help others avoid similar mistakes. However, Savannah remains skeptical about his sobriety, doubting his claims based on his appearance and behavior.
Savannah revealed:
“Do I believe it? No, because if he was, he wouldn’t look the way that he looks. It’s just the reality of it. He does not look healthy. When cameras are on, he can turn it on for as long as he needs to, and that’s the scary part.”
The family’s dynamic continues to be tested as they navigate these challenges.
