Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spent Monday evening, October 5, 2026, at Torrisi in SoHo, celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s 37th birthday with a quiet dinner in New York City. The newlyweds arrived hand-in-hand, dressed in coordinating dark outfits, and kept the evening low-key by celebrity standards.
The birthday dinner came at the end of a strong weekend for both. One day earlier, Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 30-27 to remain undefeated at 4-0. On the same Monday, Swift’s latest single “Patient Zero” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her 16th career chart-topper.
For a couple whose every public appearance generates headlines, the SoHo dinner was notable for how ordinary it looked. No elaborate party. No guest list leak. Just two people at a restaurant, holding hands on the way in.
Taylor Swift Travis Kelce 37th Birthday NYC Date at Torrisi in SoHo
Swift, 36, and Kelce, now 37, were photographed arriving at Torrisi, an upscale Italian restaurant in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. The restaurant, known for its tasting menus and classic Italian-American dishes, has become a regular spot for high-profile diners in New York.

Swift wore a black lace-trimmed midi dress paired with strappy heels and a black leather bomber jacket. Kelce dressed in a dark cardigan, black trousers, and leather dress shoes. Witnesses described the couple keeping close throughout the evening, with Kelce holding Swift’s hand and helping her in and out of their vehicle.
Photos of the outing were published by Just Jared and shared widely across fan accounts. The Swift Society, one of the largest Taylor Swift fan accounts on social media, posted the images late Monday night, and they quickly spread across platforms.
The couple did not appear to be accompanied by a large entourage. No security incidents were reported. It was, by all accounts, a private dinner between two people who rarely get to be private.

The Chiefs Won Hours Before the Birthday Dinner
The birthday celebration came with built-in context. One day earlier, on Sunday, October 4, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs traveled to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for a Week 4 matchup against the previously unbeaten Raiders.

The game was tight. The Raiders led 13-10 at halftime and held the advantage through the third quarter. Then the fourth quarter turned chaotic.
Kenneth Walker III broke off a 76-yard run that set up a Tyquan Thornton touchdown, giving Kansas City its first lead. A Raiders fumble on the ensuing kickoff set up another Chiefs score. The Raiders clawed back with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to Brock Bowers, but a late interception by Xavier Nwankpa sealed the result.
Final score: Chiefs 30, Raiders 27. Kansas City moved to 4-0 on the season.
Kelce’s stat line from the game has not been widely reported as a standout, but his presence in the lineup continues to be a factor in the Chiefs’ offense as they push for a third consecutive Super Bowl title.
With the Chiefs entering their Week 5 bye, Kelce had the rare luxury of a Monday evening off. Their next game is not until October 18 against the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
“Patient Zero” Hit No. 1 on the Same Day
Swift had her own reason to celebrate that evening. On October 5, Billboard confirmed that her latest single “Patient Zero” had debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100, making it her 16th career chart-topper.
The song is the lead single from The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, an expanded version of her 12th studio album that includes four new tracks: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.” All four debuted in the top five of the Hot 100 simultaneously.
“Patient Zero” opened with 34.5 million official streams, 28.5 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 65,000 sold in the United States. Swift co-wrote and co-produced the track with Max Martin and Shellback, the same team behind several of her previous No. 1 hits.
The No. 1 debut made Swift the first artist in history to have three new songs reach the top of the Hot 100 in a single calendar year (joining “I Knew It, I Knew You” and “Opalite” from earlier in 2026). It also gave her a career total of 50 weeks at No. 1, combining all her chart-toppers, and 74 career Hot 100 top 10 entries, the most among women in the chart’s history.
Swift premiered the “Patient Zero” music video at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, and physical copies of the single began shipping to fans in the same week as the birthday dinner.
Their First Birthday as a Married Couple
This was the first time Swift and Kelce celebrated his birthday as husband and wife. The couple married on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in a private ceremony that became one of the most talked-about events of the year.
Adam Sandler officiated the wedding. Swift’s brother Austin served as her man of honor, and Kelce’s brother Jason stood as best man. Both bride and groom wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designed by Jonathan Anderson. Swift’s wedding band is a curved yellow gold ring dotted with small diamonds.
Instead of traditional paper invitations, Swift and Kelce sent watermarked digital invites with links to guests’ phones. Wedding favors included custom lace handkerchiefs embroidered with a “TT” monogram, the July 3 date, the New York City location, and the “Blank Space” lyric “So it’s gonna be forever…” stitched in cursive.
The couple’s engagement was announced in August 2025 through a joint Instagram post captioned “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” which has since gathered over 37 million likes.
The October 5 dinner was a far cry from Madison Square Garden, and that seemed to be the point. Their first birthday as a married couple was marked by a meal, not a production.

Travis Kelce’s Career at 37
Kelce turned 37 in the middle of his 13th NFL season. He remains one of the most productive tight ends in the history of the league.
| Career Stat | Figure |
|---|---|
| NFL team | Kansas City Chiefs |
| Position | Tight end |
| Drafted | 2013 (3rd round, pick 63) |
| Pro Bowl selections | 11 |
| Super Bowl wins | 3 (LVII, LVIII, and co-seeking a third consecutive) |
| Career receiving yards | 2nd all-time among tight ends (trailing Tony Gonzalez) |
| Career wins | 106 (with Patrick Mahomes as starting QB) |
Kelce has been named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team and holds multiple franchise records for the Chiefs. He is also a co-owner of a beer brand and has expanded his business interests outside of football in recent years.
At 37, questions about retirement have started to surface. Kelce has not announced any plans to step away from the game. With the Chiefs at 4-0 and chasing an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl title, the conversation appears premature.
What Fans Are Saying About the Birthday Outing
The photos from the Torrisi dinner generated a warm response from both Swift’s fanbase and NFL fans. The reaction focused less on the outfits or the restaurant and more on how relaxed the couple appeared.
Comments across social media highlighted the contrast between the Madison Square Garden wedding spectacle and the understated birthday dinner. Several fans noted that the low-key celebration seemed intentional, reflecting a couple that has already had enough public milestones in 2026 to last a decade.
Others pointed out the timing: a No. 1 single and a Chiefs win on the same day, followed by a candlelit dinner in SoHo. Few couples in public life get both of those wins in one 24-hour stretch.
Swift is expected to attend the Chiefs’ next home game on October 18 against the Chargers, given the bye week and the home venue at Arrowhead Stadium.
