Therefore, when Ethan and Olivia Plath’s marriage experienced some difficulties, some fans questioned where they stand today.
Are Ethan And Olivia Still Married and working on their marriage?
Judging by Olivia’s posts on Instagram, it appears as though she is still very much involved in Ethan’s life (as well as Micah’s and Moriah’s).
In June 2022, Olivia posted a carousel of photos via Instagram, writing, “Getting to know our new neighborhood and feeling lucky to call Paris home for the next month✨??If you could try living in a new city for a few months, where would you go and why?” The photos featured her and Ethan exploring various places in Paris, seemingly a happy couple.
In 2021, her posts featuring Ethan were more sparse, but certainly not nonexistent. She shared a picture wishing him a happy birthday in May of 2021 and wrote, “We’ve been through some thick and some thin, and here’s to whatever the future holds for us. May we both continue to grow, learn and laugh. I love you!” Ethan has also shared some photos of himself with Olivia on his own Instagram account.
Obviously, we don’t know everything about Ethan and Olivia’s personal life, but it certainly seems as though they’re both dedicated to working on their marriage. One of the biggest issues in Olivia and Ethan’s marriage is his family. During Season 1 of Welcome to Plathville, Ethan’s parents grew increasingly wary of the influence Ethan and Olivia might have on their other children if they spent time with the couple unsupervised. This led to more trouble with Olivia’s relationship with Ethan’s mom, Kim Plath. Ultimately, the finale of Season 2 saw Ethan and Olivia cut off contact with Kim and Barry. They made the decision to focus on their marriage rather than trying to change Kim and Barry’s behavior.
While things seemed as though they were looking up by the end of Season 2, they took a turn as Season 3 progressed. Olivia has expressed an interest in moving to Tallahassee, Fla. in order to live in a less rural environment, whereas Ethan isn’t convinced moving is the right decision.

1. He’s A Cowboy in Real Life
Ethan doesn’t just play a cowboy on TV, he really is about that life even when the cameras stop rolling. Ethan, who lives on a ranch in Louisiana, grew up going to rodeos and has been riding horses and bulls for many years. His knowledge and experience have certainly come in handy on the set of Yellowstone.
2. He’s A Stunt Performer
Ethan’s work as an actor isn’t the only thing he’s contributed to the entertainment industry. Over the years, he has done stunt work on a handful of projects, several of which were very popular. His IMDB page reports that some of his credits as a stunt performer include Claws and NCIS: New Orleans.
3. He Likes Taking Pictures
Photographer is another credential that Ethan might want to start adding to his resume. Based on his Instagram profile, it’s clear that Ethan enjoys taking pictures – especially when he is surrounded by the beauty of nature. Not only does he like to take pictures, but it’s also something he’s very good at.
4. He’s A Family Man
When Ethan isn’t busy working, you can almost always catch him spending time with his family. He and his wife, Brennan, are the proud parents of three children. Ethan’s kids are currently too young to realize that their dad is a big deal, but they’ll be pleasantly surprised one day.

During an interview with WWLTV, Ethan said, “All my kids were small, and dad just didn’t want to be gone that much, you know?” He continued, “I even told my wife I kind of regret turning that down. Sounded like such a good deal and something that may be fun, something that may go seasons. So, you’re thinking I might have turned something down that could be great, potentially.”
6. He Only Has Two Acting Credits
Ethan made his first on-screen appearance in 2016 with a small role in the movie Free State of Jones. Yellowstone is only his first acting credit. As mentioned earlier, it’s unclear whether he has plans to do any more acting but I think it’s safe to say he’s definitely found his calling.

Ethan told WWLTV, “The first time he asked me to go fly fishing with him, I was kind of thinking, ‘What am I going to talk to Kevin Costner about? I was a little uncomfortable, I’ll be honest. So when I was getting ready for this trip, I was like, man… almost to the point of not wanting to go anymore. But then I just said to myself, “He puts his pants on one leg at a time like I do” and I thought to myself the one thing I am not going to talk about is movie work.”
