Kiernan Jarryd Forbes “AKA” and his friend Tebello “Tib” Motsoane were shot and killed on Florida Road in Durban on Friday night.
In an effort to identify the killer, police are asking the public for information that could aid the investigation.
Robert Netshiunda, a spokesman for KwaZulu Natal police, told the media that the police would hold off releasing the victims’ names until they had completed a thorough investigation.
It was, however, within reach of all netizens as soon as the footage appeared on the Internet.
A sensitive video was disseminated to the public without warning, which has been condemned by several people.
According to ALS Paramedics spokesman Garrith Jamieson, both AKA and his friend were shot.
Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, one of them died from his injuries.
