Today host Allison Langdon has revealed she is still in pain almost four months after badly injuring her leg in a hydrofoiling accident.

The Nine presenter, 42, spoke about her ‘horrible’ injuries on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa on Thursday.

When asked how her knee felt now, she said: ‘It’s okay, it’s still very sore.’

Langdon was injured while shooting a hydrofoiling segment on the Gold Coast in February. Speaking to Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa today, Langdon said she didn’t think the injury was that serious at first. “They (the hydrofoiling staff) came over and I said to them, ‘I think I’ve done my kneecap,’” Langdon said on Nova.

Allison Langdon is taking a break from The Today Show due to her health issues. She is in the hospital as she bears complications on her knee from a hydrofoiling accident in February 2021.

She was filming a watersports segment for The Today Show on the Gold Coast in February last year when she badly injured her knee and had to undergo surgery, report Daily Mail.

Last Friday, Langdon’s co-host, Karl, revealed that she was holed up in the hospital after watching the program in the morning. He announced the news just before going to the weather and revealed the message Allison shared to the fans.

Sarah Abo, The 60 Minutes reporter, is currently filling in for Allison on the show. However, she walked off the sets on Monday after clashing with Karl Stefanovic. She was presenting the weather forecast and mispronounced a town’s name during Monday’s live broadcast.

Allison Langdon Accident: Knee Injury Is Why She Is Not On TV Now

Allison Langdon is not present on the TV show due to a severe knee injury. She is in the hospital as she is suffering impediments of knee injuries from a hydrofoiling accident in February 2021.

When the accident occurred, she snapped the leg, shattered the knee cap, and did the PCL, and her tibia snapped. Langdon had regular sessions with a physiotherapist.

She came back to the show in March 2021, where she used a wheelchair and crutches to get around.

Who Is Allison Langdon Husband?

Allison Langdon’s husband, Michael Willesee Jr., is a television journalist. The couple announced their engagement on August 26, 2007, and got married in 2008.

Michael is the son of former Miss Australia, Carol Brent, and late Australian journalist Mike Willesee. He graduated from Charles Sturt University in 1988 and started his career with Mojo Advertising.

Langdon and Willesee have two children, a son who was born in January 2017, and a daughter who was born in March 2019.
