Antonio Delgado Parents: Tony and Thelma Delgado, Antonio’s parents, are overjoyed that their son has been named lieutenant governor under Kathy Hochul.
Representative Antonio Delgado was named Lieutenant Governor of New York by Governor Kathy Hochul today. In New York’s 19th Congressional District, the congressman currently represents the Hudson Valley and Catskills.
Delgado is Afro-Latino and a member of the Congressional Black and Hispanic Caucuses. He is the first person of color elected to Congress from Upstate New York.

Antonio Delgado’s parents are extremely proud of their son’s achievements until now. His father Tony Delgado and mother Thelma P. Hill worked in a general electric and got their benefits with the help of a prosperous economy.
They both did their level best to make their son who he is today, not compromising on his education, health, core values, and many more. The Delgado couple featured in a video with Antonio in a promotional video for his congress candidacy in 2019.
The video was more of a natural emotion rather than scripted. Not many people have seen it on YouTube posted by Antonio himself but it is a beautifully done piece that actually showcases his family background.
Tony starts by saying that he raised his son not for himself but for the world and this valuable information was given to him by his mom. To this, his mother Thelma adds that it was called accountability.
The couple wanted their son to turn into a young man who would go out and become a positive influence. To this, the current Lieutenant Governor said that his parents gave him the gift of values; prioritizing the sense of service and community.
Antonio Delgado Family And Ethnicity
Antonio Delgado was born in 1997 to an African-American family that went on to create history later on with his name. He became the first African American or Hispanic to become part of Congress from the area of Upstate New York.
Growing up, his elders always made him work hard and go to church to pray. He says the values instilled in him by his family are the very reason decided to fight in the Congress election in 2019.
Now, he is married to his loving wife Lacey Schwartz who happens to be a filmmaker and belongs to a notable Jewish family. Now he has two children with her and is raising them just with the core values his parents raised him years ago.
If we go back to the YouTube video mentioned above, his mother Hill says that she is so proud of her son, as a person, as a man, as a husband and finally as a father. he is exactly how she wanted him to be.
