Babyface Ray, known for his smooth and melodic rap style, has released music since the mid-2010s and gained a significant following in the Detroit hip-hop scene. In 2010, Babyface Ray joined Team Eastside, a group of Detroit rappers that included Peezy. In 2015, he released his debut mixtape, “MIA Season,” which helped him gain recognition in the music industry.

Two years later, he released the mixtape “Ghetto Wave.” In 2019, he released a sequel to “MIA Season,” titled “MIA Season 2.” In February 2021, he released his first EP, “Unfuckwitable,” which featured appearances from EST Gee, Moneybagg Yo, and Kash Doll.

The EP debuted at number 128 on the Billboard 200 chart. In August 2021, he released the single “It Ain’t My Fault,” featuring Big Sean.

In January 2022, Babyface Ray released his debut album, “Face,” which included collaborations with Yung Lean, G Herbo, 42 Dugg, Pusha T, Wiz Khalifa, and Landstrip Chip.

The album reached number 31 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Independent Albums chart.

Later that year, Babyface Ray was named in the XXL Freshman class, an annual list of up-and-coming rappers, and participated in the XXL Freshman cypher alongside BabyTron, Cochise, and Kali.
