Cindy Elliott’s son, Chase Elliott, is a professional stock car racer born on November 28, 1995. He is the driver behind the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Chase became the youngest champion in the NASCAR Nationwide Series to win a national series championship after winning the 2014 season.

In 2016, Elliott made a full-time move to the Cup Series. He took home the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year award.

Elliott and Hendrick Motorsports agreed to a three-year driver development deal in February 2011. Elliott committed to a 5-year contract extension with Hendrick Motorsports in February 2022, keeping him on the team until 2027.

Cindy Elliott’s husband, Bill Elliott, is known as Awesome Bill from Dawsonville, Million Dollar Bill, or Wild Bill. The former American stock car racer was born on October 8, 1955.

He participated in the Camping World Superstar Racing Experience continuously. His 44 victories in that series helped him win the 1988 Winston Cup Championship.

His celebrated victories include two Daytona 500 triumphs in 1985 and 1987, three Southern 500 triumphs in 1985, 1988, and 1994, and one “The Winston All-Star Race” victory in 1986.

It also includes a record-setting four victories in a row at Michigan International Speedway between 1985 and 1986.

He established the records for the fastest qualifying speeds at Talladega (212.809 mph; 342.483 kph) and Daytona International Speedway (210.364 mph; 338.548 kph), both in 1987.

Elliott is also notable for setting a Talladega Superspeedway record by winning six straight pole positions from 1985 to 1987.
His NASCAR Challenge for MS-DOS, the first NASCAR video game with an official license, was released by Konami in 1990.

In 1991, Bill Elliott’s NASCAR Fast Tracks for the Game Boy was also released at the same time as the game for the NES and Amiga.
