Delia Ephron Leukemia stories and the battle of her family losing to cancer shaped her writing, at least to say. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and found love. 

According to the interview published, Ephron’s results remained undetailed for the next eight years. 

However, her doctor, Roboz, recalled, “she came in in March of 2017, had a blood test, and was almost ready to get up and leave. On the review of the blood smear, something caught my eye. And when I went to take a look, I discovered acute Leukemia.”

To the situation, Delia said, “I think I wanted to run away” “I’ve got to tell you, the shock of this is a gut punch for us, and it’s a gut punch for the patient.”

Delia stated that love was the only thing that kept her going. However, the transplant had taken its toll, and she was experiencing breathing difficulties.

As a result, she informed Dr. Roboz: “I simply desire to be free. I’ve had enough of it.”

To summarize the life of Delia Ephron, she was diagnosed with a form of Leukemia in 2017, lost her sister and husband to cancer just three years apart, and found love. 

Surprisingly, Ephron married Peter in the hospital after she was diagnosed with Leukemia.

Ephron remembered her transplant doctor saying, “My chances of surviving are only 20%. ‘but…’ I’m not sure why I said that; it was unrelated, right? But I suppose I wanted him to know that this was important to me.”

Ephron was the second oldest of four daughters born to screenwriters Phoebe and Henry Ephron in New York City.
