The performer screamed in pain as a crowd of cameras surrounded his eye in a frenzy of gasps and flash photography. Unfortunately, a woman rushed over to help her idol during the chaos and unintentionally stepped on the eye.
The singer apparently received immediate emergency medical care at Methodist Hospital following the incident. Joel’s eye appears to be in good condition following the treatment.
