Born on 27 January 1993 as Gerald Hatten Buss, he died on 18 February 2013 of kidney failure. Before his passing, he was in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center due to an undisclosed form of cancer. 

Jesse’s televised memorial service happened at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on 21 February, and his burial was the next day at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills).
