As a child, she grew up in her hometown, Renmore, Galway, Ireland. When she turned 17, she moved from her hometown to Dublin to attend Trinity College Dublin.
When the independent interviewed her, she talked about what she was like as a kid. She said she was shy as a kid but had a wild imagination, constantly dreaming up new worlds while spending time in her granny’s house.

Cathy Belton married her husband, Brian Roe, in the summer of 2018. Roe is a solicitor based in Dublin, Ireland.
Cathay and Brian were first introduced to each other by some ‘matchmaking’ friends, according to Sunday Independent Living magazine. She was asked if she would meet him, but Roe didn’t know about her until they met.
Following their first meeting, they met again at a common friend’s wedding, where he asked if she would date him. She agreed, seeing they are married now.
She felt just right to be with him and considered him beautiful. She thinks her friends did a perfect job by matching them.
The “Hidden Assets” star and her boyfriend of four years exchanged vows in a small ceremony in the presence of their family, close friends, and a few colleagues. They had a destination wedding in rural France over the weekend. She wore a stunning Peter O’Brien wedding dress.

Cathy Belton’s first part was in a play by Walter Macken called “Home is the Hero” in the Island Theatre Company.
Subsequently, sid did the Tempest and the Hamlet, but the work she got gradually stopped, and she started to grow insecure. She wondered whether she was cut out for that kind of insecurity, so she opted to follow a Plan B.
The actress had always wanted to be a national school teacher. Her parents were also supportive of her decision. She almost got into teaching permanently.
But eventually, she was convinced by Mike Diskin, who ran the Town Hall Theatre in Galway. While on tour with his production, she auditioned for Glenroe and got the part.
She was Lucy Reily, the vet in Glenroe, for two years. She felt like she was given Glenroe for security, which was a sign for her. She felt like she couldn’t run away from what was meant for her and eventually got back to acting.

Cathy is the eldest child of the Belton family but not a single child. She has a younger sister named Orina Belton.
