She is, however, confined to a wheelchair following life-saving surgery to remove a tumor from her spine. Abby was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma three years ago and had surgery to treat it.

Miller is now cancer-free, although she was paralyzed from the neck down for a while and has been relegated to a motorized wheelchair since 2018.

Her treatment at numerous rehabilitation facilities and physical therapy has helped her make significant improvements over the years.  And finally, Miller went on to film the eighth season of Dance Moms: Resurrection after finishing her therapy.

Nowadays, Abby looks to be in good spirits while teaching her students some dancing routines.

Lifetime recently canceled Miller’s show ‘Abby’s Virtual Dance Off’ after she was accused of making racist remarks.

As a result, Miller may be experiencing difficulties in her professional life while working to restore entire mobility. She is, nevertheless, still alive and well.

Her fans were relieved to hear the news. 

While some trusting followers trusted the message, others were skeptical, maybe learning their lesson from the vast number of phony death rumors surfacing concerning celebrities in recent months.

Some admitted that the news had not been broadcast on any major American network, implying that it was a hoax. The death of a dancer of Abby Lee Miller’s renown would have been significant news across networks.

Thankfully she is alive to support the dancers on Dance Moms.

No, Abby Lee Miller Miller is not married and has no children. Miller was born on September 21, 1965, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to her parents who were dance teachers and the proprietor of a dance studio.

The choreographer spent her life teaching other’s kids different dance forms but never had her own.

Miller first appeared in the Lifetime reality television show Dance Moms in 2011, where she taught dance for several years. Miller was a regular on the sitcom for seven seasons, ending in October 2017.

Dance Moms covers the practice sessions and performance competitions of young Abby Lee Dance Company pupils.

However, Miller confirmed her return to Dance Moms for season 8 in July 2018. But, on May 4, 2020, she revealed on Instagram that she will be departing Dance Moms and Lifetime after nine years.
