The case was going on in court for a long time. The lawsuit began last month after being frequently postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and the jury finally made the decision regarding the case on July 6, 2022.

The alleged murderer was also convicted of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter for bullets that struck other males at the site by a Los Angeles County jury. Prosecutors were looking for two charges of attempted murder. Holder was also convicted of two charges of aggravated assault with a handgun on the same individuals.

The conviction was reached after a jury of nine women and three men debated for nearly six hours over two days. Most of their deliberations took place on Friday, and they reached their unanimous conclusion on Wednesday after briefly reconvening following a four-day hiatus.

Holder and Hussle had known each other for years and grew up in the same South Los Angeles, street gang. A fortuitous meeting outside the rapper’s clothes store in Los Angeles resulted in the shooting and his death.

The evidence against Holder was strong, ranging from eyewitness accounts to security footage from local businesses that documented his entrance, the shooting, and exit. His lawyer did not even dispute that he was the gunman but instead persuaded jurors to convict him on the lesser charge of homicide.

As a result of the case, he faced life in prison when he was sentenced on September 15, 2022.
