Let’s find out “Is Lex Luger Paralyzed: What Disease Does He Have?” After observing the man go around in a wheelchair, fans are interested in learning more about his condition.

Lawrence Wendell Pfohl, better known by his ring as Lex Luger, is a former American football and wrestler.

He is well known for his work in entertainment wrestling in the 1990s and the early 2010s. Throughout his career, he participated in numerous large events and performed on stage alongside some of the biggest stars.

Besides wrestling, he also made a name as a television producer and bodybuilder. Vince McMohan dubbed him the next Hulk Hogan when he entered the WWE stage, but his fate had other ideas. His unfortunate accident during a fight saw him crumble to a hospital bed for several months and permanently hampered his professional career.

The unfortunate incident where he suffered from nerve impingement in his neck had a long term, and the effects are still visible. Luger now uses a wheelchair to move around. Seeing the one-time superstar being limited to a moving tool has left many fans wondering about this situation.

What Disease Does Lex Luger Have?

The former wrestling sensation, Lex Luger, suffers from a condition called nerve impingement in his neck which has resulted in paralysis.

Nerve impingement is a condition where a human nerve is squeezed. It usually happens when the surrounding tissues apply extreme pressure on the nerve, eventually stopping the blood flow and causing severe damage to the whole system.

Lex was on his flight from Atlanta to San Fransisco when he felt uncomfortable turning his neck. Unfortunately, he had caused the nerve to squeeze, and the effects were imminently visible. It caused swelling in his vertebrae and eventually paralyzed him below the neck.

He still struggles with the effects of the paralysis and cannot move on his own for much longer.

Is Lex Luger Paralyzed For Life?

Yes, Lex Luger is paralyzed for life, and the effects of paralysis, hindering his free movement, still impact him.

The doctor initially diagnosed his situation as fully recoverable, and the man was also doing well in rehab. He had begun walking long distances and was improving on free movement. Just as he had become hopeful of a complete treatment, the effects worsened, making him dependent on a wheelchair in 2014, reports Sportskeeda.

He had to use the helping tools regularly, and his initial recovery resulted in nothing as his situation reversed back to what it was. Since then, Lex has done good in his healing and can make hand and leg movements and stand independently.

However, he is not hopeful of full recovery, thus unable to experience total healing in his lifetime.
