A 6-year-old girl from the United States of America was found unconscious in her Bronx apartment with bruises on her wrists and torso.
Additionally, the young girl was found cold inside the family’s squalid home early Friday morning. In their 12th-floor apartment at NYCHA’s Forest Houses located on East 165th Street, Lynija Eason called 911 after finding her daughter cold and not breathing in their closet.
She also claimed she tried CPR on Jalayah, but the child did not wake up. EMS arrived 15 minutes later, and Jalayah was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Jalayah Eason Autopsy Report Explored
Jalayah Eason autopsy report has not been shared as the investigation is going on. So, everyone is awaiting Eason’s autopsy.
After the report, it will help determine if homicide charges are warranted in the case. As of now, Eason’s mom is charged with child endangerment for neglecting and harming her other two kids.
No further charges are expected until Jalayah’s autopsy is concluded. A Police source said they are also waiting until the medical examiner makes a determination.

Jalayah Eason Mother Lynija Eason Arrested: Charges For Possible Murder
Jalayah Eason mother, Lynija Eason, has been arrested and is charged with child endangerment for neglecting and abusing her other two children.
Likewise, Lynija will await the verdict on the potential homicide charge. If the medical examiner rules Jalayah’s demise as a homicide, those charges will be applied to the case.
On Friday, May 26, 2023, Lynija called the New York Police Department around 4 am about her daughter not breathing and her cold body.
Authorities arrived at the apartment on East 165th Street and rushed the young girl to Lincoln Hospital, where she was declared dead.
The young lady reportedly had bruises on her neck and chest. An upstairs neighbor alarmed by an early morning stir on the day of Jalayah’s death recalled the moment saying that the child was screaming for her dear life.
Jalayah’s said he woke up one of his sons amid the madness. After that, he asked whether he should call the police, but the boy warned him not to get involved in the matter.
Jalayah Eason Murder Case Update
The recent Jalayh Eason murder case has shown that her mother, who is facing a charge, was granted supervised release on Tuesday.
Reportedly, Lynija will be given an ankle monitor before being taken to the home, where she will await the verdict on the potential homicide charge.
