The contentious divorce between HGTV star Christina Haack and her ex-husband Josh Hall has been finalized, culminating in a substantial financial settlement and a sharp public exchange.

The former couple, who married in 2021 and separated in 2024, reached a settlement in May 2025, which a judge formally approved on August 26, 2025.

The agreement includes significant payments from Haack to Hall and a division of their assets, bringing an end to their two-year marriage.

Shortly after the details became public, Hall took to social media to celebrate his newfound freedom and issue a pointed criticism of his former spouse.

Court documents reveal Christina Haack paid Josh Hall a significant sum as part of their divorce settlement. The financial agreement included a one-time equalization payment of $300,000 made on May 6, 2025, derived from the proceeds of their sold Nashville property.

Additionally, Haack had previously paid Hall an unallocated sum of $100,000 in September 2024, which he will not have to repay. On top of these payments, she also covered $40,000 for his attorney’s fees. Both parties waived their rights to spousal support, despite Hall initially requesting it in his original divorce petition.

According to court documents obtained by E! News: “Christina paid her ex an equalization payment of $300,000 on May 6… Christina also paid $40,000 for Josh’s attorney fees”

Property and assets divided in the settlement

The divorce judgment detailed a comprehensive division of the couple’s real estate and personal assets. Hall was awarded his property in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, often referred to as the Bear Creek property. He also keeps several vehicles, including a 2021 Bentley, a 1970 Chevelle, and a 1982 DeLorean.

Haack retained the couple’s former homes in Newport Beach, California, and Franklin, Tennessee. She also keeps two 2021 Yukons and four quads, which were noted as gifts for her children. Each party will maintain sole ownership of their respective business interests and bank accounts.

Josh Hall’s celebratory and critical social media post

Following the public revelation of the divorce terms, Josh Hall took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the finalized split. His post, which included a photo of him with a horse on a ranch, combined a celebration of his freedom with a direct criticism of his ex-wife’s character.

The message did not mention Haack by name but was widely understood to be directed at her, referencing a lesson learned about whom not to marry.

Since their separation, both Christina Haack and Josh Hall have moved on to new relationships. Haack is now dating businessman Christopher Larocca, with a source confirming to Daily Mail that they have been together for “a few months”. Hall has been linked to Nashville-based model Stephanie Gabrys.

Despite the contentious end to their marriage and the public comments, both appear to be focusing on their future. Haack expressed her relief to have the process behind her, stating on her Instagram Story that she couldn’t “wait to move on with my life and focus on what’s ahead and all my blessings”.
