  • Kanye praised Kendrick in a now-deleted Instagram post celebrating his success.

Kanye West showed his support for Kendrick Lamar following Kendrick’s historic success at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Kendrick’s diss track, “Not Like Us,” aimed at their mutual rival Drake, won five Grammys, setting a new record for rap songs.

Despite losing in the Best Rap Song category to Kendrick, Kanye praised him in a now-deleted Instagram post that featured a red-carpet photo of Kendrick with his awards, captioned “Gemini season” along with a goat emoji. This gesture highlighted Kanye’s respect for Kendrick’s achievement, even in the face of his own losses at the event.

Kanye also expressed gratitude to the Grammys for nominating his track “Carnival,” despite his history of disputes with the Recording Academy. However, his appearance at the ceremony made headlines for other reasons.

Kanye and his wife, Bianca Censori, stirred up attention on the red carpet when Bianca revealed a sheer outfit beneath her fur coat. Rumors circulated that the couple was escorted out due to her attire, but sources clarified that Kanye left voluntarily after walking the carpet.

Kendrick Lamar’s night was not only historic but also deeply impactful for hip-hop. “Not Like Us” earned awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Music Video, and Best Rap Song.

This marked the first time a diss track won a Grammy and made Kendrick only the second rapper in history to win both Record and Song of the Year—an honor previously achieved by Childish Gambino in 2019. His success further solidified his legacy as one of rap’s most influential figures.

The 2025 Grammys were filled with memorable moments beyond Kanye and Kendrick. Beyoncé won her first Album of the Year award for “Cowboy Carter,” making history as only the fourth Black woman to achieve this feat.
