At the time, Kara was a sophomore at Escambia County’s Northview Secondary School. She was looking forward to her May commencement.

The 18-year-old passed away on March 17, 2023, just before 1 am in Escambia County when a Chevrolet sedan drove the wrong way on Highway 29, colliding head-on with a Nissan SUV.
As per analytics & reports published by Florida Highway Patrol, after Kara Santorelli accident with the sedan driver, the driver’s sedan caught Fire, trapping him inside.
