1.Start the day with sunrise

‘When I’m away filming, I try to wake up early so I can fit in a workout before arriving on set. It helps get me in the zone.’

2. Stick to a plan

‘Before my trip to Australia for I’m A Celeb, I started a vigorous summer workout plan, which consisted of three sets of burpees, jumping squats and planks (non-stop for 20 seconds then 40 seconds rest), followed by seated shoulder presses (three sets of ten reps), squats (three sets of ten reps), crunches (three rounds of 20 seconds non-stop plus a 40 second rest) and press-ups (three sets of ten reps).

‘Although, I prefer weight training on the machines and I still do some cardio. I usually ease myself in with a run or fast walk on the treadmill.’

3. Keep a routine

‘I’m actually finding it quite fun. Once a week, I do a one-hour boxing workout with my trainer Bradley Simmonds, who keeps me motivated; if I’m on my own, I’ll pump up high-energy songs like Bicycle by Vybz Kartel to get me through my workout.’

4. Stay flexible in your thinking

‘I recently did a South African road trip with Alice Liveing for work and she taught me that quality over quantity is key. I’m really busy at the moment so it’s easy to just say, “I don’t have the time to work out, and quit.”

‘Alice showed me that it’s not how long you train for, but how you train that counts.’

5. Make time to learn

‘I’ve recently finished presenting a series of free podcasts for Freya Lingerie called When Life Gives You Melons. I got to work with amazing women including Dolly Alderton, Katie Piper, Kimberley Walsh and the Hemsleys.

I learned so much from everyone involved and I think it’s important for us to discuss the sorts of topics that affect us all, openly – like dumping and being dumped, which were topics covered in an episode I really loved working on.

We can learn from other women and their own experiences, and also find support in others as they go through the same thing.’

Love that.
