At around 8:30 p.m., the other members of the group contacted 911. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies, Personnel from Applegate Fire District, and Marine units responded to the possible drowning and searched the lake until it was too dark.
The search got suspended as it was too dark, and the youth’s body was found just before 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
