The announcement of Rachel Corbett’s pregnancy aroused people’s curiosity about her partner. The forty-one years old, The Project star made it clear that she is doing it solo. She further admitted that many people were shocked by the decision.

While announcing the happy news live on air during the October 26 episode of the panel show, the presenter stated, “I’m doing it solo, and it is great for me.” Rachel looked delighted when she raised her hands and said, “I’m pregnant.” In contrast, she hasn’t disclosed the father of her baby.

She continued, “You find it hilarious when you tell people because they think it’s a choice of last resort.” Presenter Carrie Bickmore appeared surprised by the admission. The whole panel was excited and offered their congratulations to the star.

The presenter further added after the announcement, “you have to spend the next thirty minutes explaining you’re not crying yourself to sleep at night.” “For me, it’s the perfect decision,” the long-serving star continued to say.

“I’m pregnant,” she continued with a big smile throwing her hands up. Her co-stars then launched confetti into the air and congratulated Rachel. They are excited to witness Rachel’s journey to motherhood.

Rachel also revealed that she is “doing it solo” and had admitted that it was shocking for many people. The presenter added, “It feels exactly the right thing to do, and I’m excited.” She finished by sharing she is having a baby girl.

Radio presenter Rachel Corbett was born to a loving family in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Born on March 11, 1981, she is forty-one years old and holds Australian nationality.

Corbett hardly opens up about herself but shared that she lost her mom after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Presenting on the show in 2020, she was forthright about the great loss. Her mother was diagnosed with the disease around 2005-2006.

The disease is the most common type of dementia and is a progressive condition starting with mild memory loss and may lead to loss of the ability to respond to the environment and to carry on a conversation.

Rachel stated, “She kept it from us because I think there was a part of her that was embarrassed or ashamed.” Towards the end of the disease, her mother became a very different person. She witnessed her mother struggling and being trapped in her mind.

With tearful eyes, she continued, “I remember reading it was around ten years that people live with Alzheimer’s disease.” It was around that time her beloved mother passed away. She feels like a positive, wonderful, and brilliant woman who was taken too soon.

Her loving mother passed away in 2015 at 68 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Writing a column for The Daily Telegraph at the time, Corbett said, “I lost my mother to a 10-year-long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 68.”

Rachel Corbett began her radio career in 2002 as a co-host of The Morning Madhouse. She appeared alongside Steve Bedwell, Russell Gilbert, and James Brayshaw on Triple M Melbourne.

Moreover, she previously appeared on television in the first season of Big Brother Australia. She was the first intruder in the show and was evicted four days later. She and eight other housemates further appeared on a special episode of The Weakest Link.

In 2004, she moved to the Central Coast and co-hosted the breakfast show on Sea FM. In 2007, she joined the breakfast show on 92.9FM in Perth. From 2008 to 2009, she hosted several shows, including summer breakfast on Nova 96.9 and Hot30 Countdown with Sam Mac at 2Day FM.

In 2009, Rachel joined Triple M Sydney and co-hosted The Paul Murray Show with Paul Murray. After Murray left the show in 2011, she was moved to The Grill Team. The same year, she was announced among the hosts of the new drive shoe “Merrick and the Highway Patrol.”
