 Ravens WR Rashod Bateman’s Girlfriend Claire Kimbrell has been working at the Emergency Department Baptist Health Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida, since 2022.

While attending Georgia’s Tift County High School, they became acquainted. Even though he was her senior, they became good friends since they both loved football.

Claire was a member of their cheering squad, and Rashod was already a well-known wide receiver for their school team. Even though they later attended different universities, the pair eventually started dating and supporting one another.

When Rashod finally made it to the NFL in 2021, Claire was still at his side to witness his growth as a player and a person. The couple would get together frequently over holidays and upload photos to Instagram in the interim.

Although it’s unclear why they stopped following each other on social media, people have speculated that they’ve broken up.

Rashod was born to his mother, LaShonda Cromer who raised him as a single parent and is also an athlete, playing basketball in high school. His family also includes his two siblings, Monjharvis and Travian.

He attended Tift County High School, where his mother sent him, and played high school football there. He played collegiate football for the Gophers at the University of Minnesota after finishing high school in 2017.

Rashod received numerous awards for his work with the Gophers, particularly during his sophomore year. In 2019, he was named the Richter-Howard Receiver of the Year.

He participated in three college seasons before declaring for the NFL draft in 2020, skipping his senior year. As a result, he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens as the 27th overall choice in the draft.

He caught 83 receptions for 1,539 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior, earning him a spot on the first team of the state. Despite receiving late recruiting interest from numerous elite college teams as a result of his successful senior season, Bateman decided to honor his promise to Minnesota.

Bateman had 108 receiving yards on four catches in a Week 2 shootout defeat to the Miami Dolphins (38-42), including one catch that he returned 75 yards for a touchdown. He recorded two catches for 59 yards the next week against the New England Patriots in a 37-26 victory, despite fumbling the first catch.

Rashod’s journey to stardom began when he was a true freshman at Minnesota, Bateman started at wide receiver and set freshman records for the Golden Gophers with 51 grabs, 704 receiving yards, and six touchdowns.

This was the beginning of Rashod’s ascent to greatness after receiving 57 passes for a sophomore record 1,170 yards and 11 touchdowns, Bateman was named a semi-finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award, first-team All-Big Ten, and the Richter-Howard Receiver of the Year.

Sports Illustrated, USA Today, and the Associated Press all selected Bateman for their second-team All-Americans, while they selected him for their third team.

Due to the Big Ten’s decision to abandon football during the COVID-19 epidemic, Bateman declared on August 4, 2020, that he will forego his 2020 season. The Big Ten would subsequently change its mind, and Bateman joined the squad once again for the abbreviated season.

Bateman made a comeback in the game over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he left with a foot injury in the second quarter. On November 3, 2022, it was revealed that Bateman would have foot surgery, terminating his season.

Coach John Harbaugh announced on Thursday that top Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman would require season-ending surgery for a Lisfranc injury, inflicting a devastating blow to a club preparing for a potential postseason push.

Harbaugh stated that the AFC North-leading Ravens (5-3) supported Bateman’s choice to treat his injured midfoot. The Ravens have a history of having difficulty developing wide receiver talent. He missed two games last month due to a strain, and he could only play 13 offensive snaps in last Thursday’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

When he was playing, Bateman was one of the NFL’s most productive wide receivers this season. With 15 catches for 285 yards and two touchdowns in six games, he will finish 2022 with the highest yards-per-catch average of any player.

He will begin his third season with 18 games under his belt after avoiding severe injuries while playing for Minnesota. After groin surgery, he missed the first five games of his rookie season and said he wasn’t fully recovered until the offseason.

A stronger and more explosive Bateman proved to be almost tough to cover at times during training camp this summer, becoming quarterback Lamar Jackson’s go-to target.
