The couple was humbled by it even though they thought they were prepared to be parents. The gold medalist quips that they’ve all felt like “a hot mess” as a family.

In a recent video of her first gymnastics class at Johnson’s former gym, the 2-year-old is already a little star on the balance beam and perfectly resembles her Olympic gold-medal-winning mother.
With Johnson, Drew visited Chow’s Gymnastics & Dance Institute in Des Moines, Iowa. She shared a video of the young child using the steady rings, diving into a foam pit, and high-fiving Liang Chow, Johnson’s former coach.
But the coolest part was when Drew practiced on the same balance beam that her mother used to train for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she won a gold medal.

On July 19, 2021, Shawn Johnson and Andrew East gave birth to their second child, a son named Jett James. He is 1 years old as of 2022.

Through their children’s clothing and toy brand, Teddy & Bear, the couple had announced the birth of their son.
