Eilidh Barbour and Marvin Bartley are in love, according to photos shared online by the Sky Sports broadcaster.

Fans hailed the greatest football pair as the TV host and the Livingston assistant spent time together in Edinburgh.

It’s believed that the two met while working for the sports network. Last August, Eilidh shared a selfie with Marvin, 35, and Scotland veteran James McFadden, 38, before Motherwell’s match against Hibs.

Eilidh appeared to confirm their relationship on Hogmanay when she uploaded a photo of herself with Marvin. The pair went for a walk on the beach in East Lothian last week. She posted a snapshot of them with the sea in the background.

Marvin stopped playing last year to work as Livi’s assistant manager. The ex-Hibs ace has become a renowned leader in the fight against racism, speaking out about fears that a player would commit suicide.

Eilidh Barbour Felt Unwelcomed After Bill Copeland’s Homophobic Comment

 

Eilidh Barbour, a BBC presenter, tweeted that she had never felt so unwelcome in the business she works in than sitting at the Scottish Football Writers Awards when a homophobic slur was made.

Copeland, a professional after-dinner speaker, is accused of making racially offensive remarks about Celtic’s Asian players. He is also accused of using sexist and homophobic comments.

The Scottish Football Writers‘ Association was forced to issue an apology on Monday on behalf of Bill Copeland, whose remarks drew a barrage of criticism on social media following the incident.

Racism and homophobia remain a blemish on the game, and we must continue to confront and eradicate them. Discrimination of any kind has no place in sports or anyplace else.
