Alvaro played his first tennis tournament in 2019 but was unable to achieve much success on the tennis court. The 22-year-old became a spectator of his younger brother’s success as after his victory in the US Open, Carlos became the youngest ever no.1 ranked player.

Alvaro Alcaraz Garfia has played a total of three career matches as a tennis player, with the first match coming in 2019. Alvaro and his doubles partner Sergio Noguera Navarro went head to head against fellow Spanish counterparts Eduard Esteve Lobato and Alvaro Lopez San Martin.
