According to Dalgleish, the Natalie Medical Building, a physicians’ office building on the St. Francis Hospital campus, received a call about a gunman soon after 4:50 p.m. local time.
Investigators are questioning witnesses who were present in the premises, he added. One witness, he claimed, was discovered imprisoned in a cupboard.
Within minutes, officers arrived on the site and established contact with the victims and the perpetrator, Dalgleish said.
According to the deputy chief, cops responding to the scene heard gunshots within the building, which led them to the second floor.
