Uriah suffered his first professional loss against future UFC champion Chris Weidman by TKO in September 2010. He suffered his second loss at Ring of Combat 34 to Costa Philippou by majority decision.

Before coming to TUF, Uriah competed in Bellator MMA and Ring of Combat, where he succeeded in winning the ROC Championship. The athlete is also the first UFC fighter in history to win a bout without throwing a single strike.

It was January 9, 2013, when it was announced that Uriah had been selected as a fighter for the seventeenth season of The Ultimate Fighter with coaches Chael Sonnen, and Jon Jones.

In the opening round to enter the house, the MMA fighter faced Andy Enz and won the fight via decision. He was then number two selected for Team Sonnen.
