Jeff Gladney, a former Minnesota cornerback, was never married and never had a wife. He was charged with sexually abusing one of his ex-girlfriends in March 2022, but was acquitted. Jane Doe was Jeff Gladney’s ex-girlfriend. The late NFL cornerback was accused of beating his ex-girlfriend in April of last year.

Jeff’s ex-girlfriend, who has remained anonymous, accused him of abusing her and beating her for about two hours on a highway journey.

The abuse began on April 1, 2021, when Jeff’s then-girlfriend looked through his phone and discovered a text exchange with another woman, according to USA Today. Jeff had recently paid for his haircut and given him $50 via the cash app, and his girlfriend had bought her a pair of $700 LV sunglasses.

Things immediately spun out of control after she moved $100 from Jeff’s phone to her account. According to the lawsuit, Gladney yelled at her to unlock her phone, tugged her hair, punched her, choked her, and slammed her face into the dashboard while driving.

A jury in Dallas, Texas, found Jeff Gladney not guilty of assaulting a woman last year.

Gladney, 25, was charged with felony domestic abuse by a Texas grand jury last year, causing the Vikings to release him after he was picked with the 31st overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Gladney turned himself in to Dallas County authorities on April 5 for an alleged attack on his girlfriend a few days prior. For the alleged assault, Gladney was charged with domestic violence, which led to the indictment.

He allegedly yelled at her to unlock her phone, grabbed her hair and struck her, choked her, and forced her face into the dashboard while driving down the highway, according to the woman. He also exited the highway to halt at red lights, where he struck her again, according to the lawsuit.

According to the lawsuit, he allegedly bought her a Tiffany necklace after turning himself in to urge her not to press charges, and then showed up at her house in July to persuade her to delete text conversations.
