Any Mackintosh, the former captain of the Newtonmore Camanachd Club, is claimed to have died at the young age of 31 owing to a medical problem. He was a talented shinty player who inherited his abilities from his parents.

Ian Mackintosh, his father, was the captioner for the 1986 Camanachd Cup triumph. It was the year Any was not even born, but the guy had no idea that his son would carry on his legacy for years to come.

Andy made his father proud of his accomplishments, and he still had more work to do in the future. This 6 foot tall athlete was born on March 19, 1991, and weighed 82 kilograms when he led his team.

The players’ honours include, North Under 14 in 2004, 2005 & 2006, MacTavish Cup Winner in 2009, 2012, 2016 , 2017, 2018 & 2019, Macaulay Cup Winner in 2014 & 2015, North Division 2 Championship Winner in 2011, Premier Division Championship Winner in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2018, Camanachd Cup Winner in 2011, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018 (Captain) & 2019, Camanachd Cup Man of The Match (Albert Smith Memorial Medal) Winner in 2016 Scotland under 21’s: 2012 Mactavish Cup Winner: 2018 & 2019 Scotland: 2017, 2018 & 2019 and Club Captain in 2018.

Hugh Dan MacLennan, a well-known shinty pundit, remarked that he could not recall the shinty community ever being put to such a test in his lifetime.
