Christian Saulsberry from Edmonton Elks tragically passed away after being shot by a person into a crowd at a party on Saturday, December 17th, in Memphis, Tennessee.
According to Tish Clark, a spokeswoman for the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department, “a man named Christian Saulsberry, 25, was shot in the abdomen and leg while attending a birthday celebration in Walls, Mississippi, which is located just southwest of Memphis, around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday”.
After a shooting in Mississippi, a young star of the Canadian Football League, age 25, passed away. Following a gunshot early on Saturday morning, Christian Saulsberry, a running back, receiver, and returner for the Edmonton Elks of the CFL, was declared dead while on the way to the hospital.
His team gave him tribute and expressed their grief on the loss of Christian Saulsberry’s soul, they wrote,

Who Was Christian Saulsberry?
Southaven, Mississippi born Christian Saulsberry participated in eight games for Edmonton in 2022. The player, who is five feet eight inches tall and is known for his agility, was twice selected to the All-Gulf South Conference squad while attending the University of West Alabama. In 2015, under his leadership, the Northpoint Trojans won the Division II State Championship.
