Chuck participated in the high school band and choral programs while in high school. He is also a member of the board and alumnus of the Madison Scouts and Bugle Corps. Henson is working to improve and expand music education across the country.

In 2010, he participated in “Tampa Bay’s Dancing with the Stars,” a charity event hosted by Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across the Bay. He was the Grand Marshall of the 2011 St. Petersburg AIDS Walk.

On 8 July 2022, he married the love of his life, Joe Diaz-Henson, in Tampa Bay, Florida.

He earns an annual salary ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 as one of Bay News 9’s top journalists. As a result, he is expected to spend money on things he enjoys, as evidenced recently by the fact that he is taking message therapy lessons, which is entirely different from what he usually does.
