On May 10, 2017, Katherine Berman died in an accident after her car crashed into another vehicle. She was highly intoxicated when she drove the car and collided with the back of the other automobile in Woodbury.

Katherine and the vehicle’s driver were killed in this accident. Chris and his two children are still dealing with the loss.

With fans demanding to bring back Berman on the 2022 Home Run Derby, it will be interesting to see if ESPN is considering the demands.
