Elizabeth Frood had severe health problems and sickness after being diagnosed with an infection that led to sepsis.

In 2015, Frood became handicapped. She went on her first post-recovery fieldwork trip to Egypt in 2018, after returning to work part-time in 2016.

She made her BBC television debut in 2020, hosting the documentary “Tutankhamun in Color,” which aired on BBC4.

Professor Frood’s family and friends embarked on a bike trip today (Friday, September 9) that began at the Ashmolean Museum and ended in Cardiff.

After completing the difficult first stage of their journey, they are expected to arrive in Gloucester this evening.
