The player confirmed that he is not recovering in a German hospital after being taken ill after his quarter-final victory over Ryan Searle.

He was hospitalized after being taken ill with a worrying heart problem. According to the reports, James suffered from severe symptoms, including high blood pressure, racing heart, nausea, and dizziness.

Following the symptoms, the darts hero had to undergo several tests to identify the cause. The 11-time major winner is currently comfortable and improving; however, he remains detained for observation and further treatment.

Wade has now released a statement confirming that he feels comfortable and recovering in the hospital. However, he remains under observation and is not ready to return home.

His wife Samatha stated, “Clearly we want our hero as quickly as possible but the medical staff has been amazing with James and he is extremely grateful for the care they have shown to him – we are taking their advice on when it will be safe for James to return home.”

She also added that James is desperate to make sure that he doesn’t let anyone down and is already talking about returning to the competitive action for people who have bought tickets. However, he still has to rest for some time for a full recovery.
