Jedd Cummings died on Sunday, October 9, 2022, in a single-vehicle crash in the area of South State Road 45. The accident occurred in the morning just about half a mile South of Interstate 69.
Reports emerged about the accident in the afternoon following which the EGHS Athletics page on Facebook about announced the unfortunate death of their beloved student Jedd Cummings.
Cummings’ family has since then confirmed the death and followed it up with tributes to their young lad. Several other friends, teams, and people close to him have paid respect to the departed soul.
Jedd Cummings’ Death in a Vehicle Crash: What Happened?
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the details about the vehicle crash that killed Jedd Cummings. He said the accident happened in the area of South State Road 45, just about one-half mile south of Interstate 69.
He said that the teen left the east side of the roadway before crashing. Cummings was pronounced dead on the scene. His body was sent for autopsy to determine the exact cause of his death which would be among the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Jedd Cummings Obituary: Funeral Details and Tributes
Eastern Green High School announced Jedd Cummings’ untimely passing in a press release and a Facebook post. They said the counselors, staff, and community volunteers will be available from 10 AM to noon Monday at the high school for anyone that needs to talk.
A prayer circle will be held at 9 AM at the high school football field to honor Jedd Cummings.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Cummings family,” wrote the school on Facebook.
Cummings’ family is yet to make the arrangements for Jedd. They are currently in shock at losing their young loved one. We’ll keep you posted when the family announces details of Jedd Cummings’ funeral.
