Following his stint in rehab, Willis briefly became involved with the Church of Scientology. Still, he ultimately left when they advised him to separate from his then-partner, Emma Griffiths, whom the Church considered a “suppressive person.”

On July 5, 2008, Willis married Emma Griffiths, and they have since welcomed three children into their family—a son in November 2011 and two daughters in 2009 and 2016. In 2010, Willis suffered an injury in a skiing accident.
