After investing almost a decade as a rugby player, Ciraldo announced his retirement and joined Penrith Panthers as an assistant coach in 2014. He worked under the head coach Trent Barrett and in 2015, he was named head coach for the team.

Coming in 2016, he made his name as the head coach of the Italian national team.

In the years following, Cameron served as a caretaker coach for Penrith Panthers, leading the team to qualify for the finals.
