Brendan Looney died from a helicopter crash on September 21, 2010.
He was deployed as the Alpha Platoon Assistant Officer in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Looney took his final breath on his 59th mission while conducting combat operations in Zabul, Afghanistan.

Brendan Looney Wikipedia Bio
Brendan was a Navy SEAL and a former Naval Academy graduate.
He was a three-time letter-winner in lacrosse at the Naval Academy but prior to his achievement in lacrosse, he was a keen football player.
Completed his high school from DeMatha Catholic High School, Looney was assigned with Commander Naval Forces Korea after his graduation from Naval Academy.
He was selected as ‘Honorman’ of class 265 following his toughness, hard work, and leadership in SEAL training.
Looney was described as a skilled operator, protective brother, and faithful husband. He was considered to be the best person.
He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Arlington County.

He was welcomed by Looney family on the 24th of February, 1981 in Silver Spring, Southern Maryland.

He was survived by his sisters as well who are named Bridget, Erin, and Kellie.
