According to the Davidson County autopsy and toxicology findings, TobyMac’s son accidentally overdosed on fentanyl and amphetamines and passed away.

The Christian rapper’s 21-year-old son, Truett Foster McKeehan, passed away on October 23 in Nashville. Approximately seven miles south of the city’s downtown, in the Radnor suburb, McKeehan was discovered at a residence in the 3000 block of Harlin Drive.

According to an autopsy recently made public and completed on October 24 by Davidson County Medical Examiner Feng Li, McKeehan passed away due to “acute mixed drug intoxication.” His demise was unintentional.

Li claimed in the report that McKeehan had a history of abusing drugs, alcohol, and possibly nitrous oxide. On October 23, a buddy performing a welfare check found him unconscious in bed. Laughing gas is a frequent nickname for nitrous oxide.

A toxicology report revealed that McKeehan also had Adderall and marijuana in his system at the time of his demise, in contrast to fentanyl. Unfortunately, the presumed cause of death was not first made public by Metro Nashville police.
