When she returned, she found that the woman had killed herself after her mother had been threatened.
Ivy and Milly Bucci, two teenage daughters of Detective Frank Bucci, were allegedly groomed by a man by the name of Steve Getz. Against Benson’s orders, Katriona went undercover as the girls’ aunt to capture Getz in the act.
Katriona got deeply entangled in an alleged rape case involving her boxing instructor Romeo Sols after starting an inquiry because she thought he might be dating a teenage student. The investigation quickly turned into a murder probe after another student struck Romeo to death. She repeatedly crossed the line, and a disapproving Benson strongly reprimanded her for it.
A dishonest pastor who preyed on youthful victims in his church and bought their silence troubled Katriona. After discovering there was nothing charitable about the checks, she and the others question the girls about them and wonder who would tell Chief Garland because he was friends with Chase.

Tamin was shot during a case, nearly killing her. She told Tutuola when she regained consciousness that she wasn’t sure she wanted to continue working in law enforcement. Tamin left the NYPD after receiving his hospital discharge in the hopes of pursuing a new career that would still assist victims.

Katriona is really eager to get to work and show her coworkers that she can handle the job. She has a great deal of compassion for victims and becomes angry when the perpetrators of their attacks receive light punishments.
